Shopping 5: Checking Out

1. 포인트 카드 있으세요?
Do you have a point card?

Break it down:
포인트 카드: point card
있다: to have
-세요: polite verb ending

Yes, I have one.

Break it down:
:  yes
있다:  to have
:  polite ending



3.  없어요.

Break it down:
없다:  to not have



4.  신용 카드 돼요?
Do you accept credit cards?
sheen-yong  kah-duh-roh  dway-yo?

Break it down:
신용 카드:  credit card
:  a particle that attaches to words and means "through" or "via"
되다:  a verb that means many things--in this case it means to be acceptable


5. 영수증주시겠어요?
Could you please give me a receipt?
yung-soo-jung joo-shee-kes-oh-yo?


Break it down:
영수증:  receipt
:  add this to a verb to create the future tense
주시겠어요:  very polite way of saying "please"--like "won't you please do this?"
