Teaching 2: Essential Expressions

1.  화장실

This is sometimes shortened to just 실.

Just a moment.

3.  미안해요.
Sorry.

4.  괜찮아요.
It's okay.

Break it down:
괜찮다:  to be okay



5.  준비 됐어요?
Are you ready?

Break it down:
준비:  preparation, readiness
되다:  to become



6.  들어보세요.
Listen.
duh-roh-boh-say-yoh



7.  이것 보세요.
Look at this.
ee-goh  boh-say-yo

Break it down:
이것:  this (thing)
보다:  to look
-세요:  polite ending



8.  잘 했어요.
I'm finished.
Literally, "I did well."

Break it down:
잘:  well
하다:  to do
했어요:  past tense of 하다



9.  시작 시간
start time
shee-jahk  shee-gahn

Break it down:
시작:  to start, begin
시간:  time



10.  끝났어요.
Finished./Ended.
kuht-nah-soh-yoh

You can also say:
끝났다.
Finished.
kuht-nah-tah

Break it down:
끝나다.
끝났다, 끝났어요:  past tense forms of 끝

This is important.
